Hi all,
previously, with Hardy, the last kernel that worked for me was 2.6.17
Maybe I skipped a point release or two, but with ivtv in the kernel my
sound is shit and the image is shifted:
example:
http://www.box.net/shared/bt9kteod7l
It looks like the audio/video syncing is waaay off.
I went to town on mythtv settings, turning CC/teletext on/off, changing
resolution.
All with the same result: shite.
I upgraded to Intrepid to no avail,
I compiled the latest kernel in the GIT repository, nothing.
Also, interestingly, ivtvctl does nothing (i think):
~# ivtvctl -k
ioctl: VIDEO_GET_EVENT
ioctl: VIDEO_GET_EVENT failed
I set out to recompile ivtv-trunk, the make initially fails:
/usr/src/IVTV/ivtv-1.0/driver/ivtv-driver.h:68:24: error: media/ivtv.h:
No such file or directory
but after relinking /usr/include/linux to /usr/src/linux/include/linux
it builds ( maybe something that needs fixing ?)
Anyway, I'm looking everywhere and I can use any pointers you can throw
at me,
Happy New Year !
