It looks like you have signal reflections. (How are you checking to see
if a cable "works"?)
Check this page and make sure you've taken steps to get as clean an
input signal as possible:

That'll hopefully clear up the color bleeding. If the "up and to the
left" is caused by false sync detections, maybe it'll fix those too.
