I performed a modprobe -r cx18 and this is my result...

 test at ubuntu:~$ modprobe -r cx18
FATAL: Error removing cx18 (/lib/modules/2.6.24-21-generic/kernel/drivers/media/video/cx18/cx18.ko): Operation not permitted

What happened?
Do you think a reinstall and start from scratch may help?
