[ivtv-users] I/O-DATA GV-MVP/RX3

Hello,

I have an I/O-DATA GV-MVP/RX3 that I recently got second hand here in Japan,
and I'm wondering if there's any way I can get it to work in Ubuntu. It
works fine in Windows Vista. I haven't been able to get it to work
out-of-the-box in Ubuntu so far, but I'm completely unskilled at drivers and
hardware in linux. I noticed that the GV-MVP/RX2 apparently works in ivtv.
When I load tvtime or another tv viewer program in linux, there is no
mention of my card at all. My webcam works with some of the software, but
trying to change the input source has no effect at all.

Here is my lspci -v:
04:02.0 Multimedia video controller: NEC Corporation Dual Tuner/MPEG Encoder
(rev 0c)
Subsystem: I-O Data Device, Inc. Unknown device d03f
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 3
    Memory at dcdfe000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
    Memory at dcdfbff0 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2

I'm using the Ubuntu Hardy Heron package for ivtv.

These three pages seem to have some clues about getting the RX2 to work, but
I have no idea how to follow them:
